Hi, I’m Gabriella (Gabby for short).  I’m 33.  I have a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology/Biochemistry, and I am currently an assistant professor at a small liberal arts college in southeastern Wisconsin.

In addition to my love of science, I have a passion for all things artsy-fartsy.  I knit.  I crochet. I sew.  I make jewelry.  I am obsessed with decorating and refurbishing anything that can be refurbished (but mostly just furniture).  I’m also a guitarist/vocalist for the Milwaukee band Faux Fiction.  If you are so inclined, you can listen to our music here: fauxfictionband.com

I share my home with my partner, Paul, and two furry jerks/sweeathearts named Bella and Captain Jack.

I grew up in a small town in southern New Jersey, but I’ve lived in the Milwaukee area for over a decade.  I really love the Midwest!  I bought my first home, a cute cottage built in 1921, in November 2016.

This blog is dedicated to all things crafty.  I’ll be sharing things that I’ve made and repurposed, and hopefully you’ll find me interesting enough to stick around!
