Whoop whoop!
I’m 28 today! I know that’s not a “special” age, but I feel really loved this year. So many people have called, texted, and sent Facebook messages, and a bunch of my close Milwaukee friends will be joining me and my husband for dinner tonight at one of my favorite restaurants: Maxie’s Southern Comfort. I’m already salivating over the thought of fried green tomatoes and a perfectly poured Pimm’s Cup!
I know I haven’t written anything in FOREVER. I’m so sorry! To make up for it (somewhat, at least), I thought I would tease you a little with my birthday wishlist. Well, I really only want two things: a Keurig and a new bed. Specifically THIS bed:

I seriously love how chic and elegant it is! But let’s talk about the price tag. It’s on SALE for $2195; the original cost is $2595! Um…what?! I would laugh, but the “want” I have going on is strong. So what do I do about it? I plannnnnnn. Get ready for it: I am going to BUILD this bed. I know you think that I am totally wack-a-doodle, but my husband and I have already built a table (tutorial coming soon!)…and that thing required gluing, screwing, sanding, staining, and waxing. This will only require gluing, screwing, and stapling of fabric, with a little bit of sewing required for the tufted buttons. I know that I can pull this off! I even went so far as to plan out all the cuts (based on two different building plans I found online) and estimate costs. Materials should cost me around $300-350, and the whole thing could probably be done over a weekend. Wishful thinking, but I KNOW I can get it done. My poor husband must be getting tired of all the “projects” I bring home!
